Ric joined Steinhaus Financial Group in 1990 and in 1999, was named Columbus Regional CEO of Steinhaus, an affiliate of Lincoln Financial Advisors Corp. In addition to building his personal financial planning practice, he led and supported a team of 200 financial planners and management personnel who provide estate, business succession and investment strategies to affluent corporate executives, business owners and retirees.
Before being named the Columbus and Fort Wayne Managing Director, Ric worked as the Investment Sales Coordinator (ISC) where he received national recognition for his work. Prior to that, Ric worked in banking and financial services since 1982. Ric resigned his MD position in 2005 to dedicate 100% of his time back into his practice. Ric’s business specializes in working with Retail executives of LBrands; Big Lots; Ascena, which owns retailers such as TweenBrands and Lane Bryant; DSW and Abercrombie & Fitch.
A recognized leader in the Columbus area, Ric has published articles on financial planning in Business First, the Columbus Dispatch and is frequently quoted in national publications on building a financial planning practice. In October, 2015 Ric changed the name of his firm to BlueStone Wealth Partners in partnership with three other successful practices within LFA.
Ric received his B.S. in Finance from the Fisher College of Business at The Ohio State University in 1985. In 1993, he received his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification and his Masters in Financial Planning from the College of Financial Planning. Ric is former Chairman of the Holding Company of the Buckeye Ranch; a non for profit that provides hope and healing to children dealing with mental health, emotional, behavioral, and substance use issues. He held a board seat with the Buckeye Ranch for over 18 years. Prior to that, he also held a seat on the Executive Board of the LPGA’s Wendy’s Championship for Children and past Charter board member of the Young Professionals (Zookeepers) at the Columbus Zoo. He is also a member of the Legal & Professional Advisory Committee of the Columbus Foundation. Ric and his wife, Lori, are members of the Cor Vitae, the Heart Ball as well as the “Go Red for Women” supporting the American Heart Association.
Ric and Lori reside in Dublin. They have two children: Linley, who lives in Philadelphia and Gabe, a new addition to the Bluestone team.

Adam has been working with Ric and the Bluestone Wealth Partners team for 13 years. Adam creates and implements personalized and comprehensive retirement, investment, risk management, and estate planning solutions. As the head of BWP's investment committee, Adam is responsible for creating customized portfolios to help meet each client's goals and objectives. Working closely with Ric, Adam specializes in working with corporate executives. He also enjoys working with young professionals focused on accumulating assets.
Before joining BWP, Adam graduated from the Fisher College of Business at The Ohio State University with a B.S. degree in business administration, specializing in finance. Adam is a CFA® Charterholder. While providing a strong foundation of real-world skills, this designation represents the highest ethical and professional standards in the investment industry. Adam has spoken at Lincoln Financial Advisor's “Fall Focus” planning conferences on advanced financial plan design and wealth management for executives and he is a licensed continuing education instructor in all 50 states for life/health insurance.
Adam is a coach in the Columbus chapter of Handshake America, a team of like-minded and successful professionals who mentor high school students by leveraging their mutual appreciation for the life lessons learned through participation in athletic competition. He also serves as the Alumni Advisor for the investment committee of the Columbus chapter of his business fraternity, Delta Sigma Pi. Adam also coaches youth sports.
Adam resides in Upper Arlington with his wife, Michelle and three sons, Connor, Evan and Peyton.
Courtney joined Bluestone Wealth Partners in 2018 and brings 15 years of Financial Services experience. As a Financial Planner on the team, Courtney creates customized and comprehensive personal investment, retirement & estate planning solutions. When it comes to a client’s personal finances, Courtney’s goal is to ensure each client feels confident that their future financial independence is within reach.
Courtney started her Financial Services career in 2006 with BlackRock. At BlackRock, Courtney served as a Regional Investment Management Consultant where she partnered with Independent Financial Advisors & their clients to educate on investment solutions, portfolio construction, risk management.
From 2011-2015, Courtney piloted a role as BlackRock’s National 529 Specialist partnering closely with the Ohio Tuition Trust Authority and helping families navigate the complex world of college saving. Prior to that, Courtney was an Internal Wholesaler working from BlackRock’s offices in Princeton, NJ.
Courtney has her BA in Communication from Villanova University.
Courtney and her husband, Jason, reside at Pinnacle Golf Course in Grove City. In her free time, you’ll find Courtney with her friends and family, cheering on her beloved Philadelphia sports teams or traveling. Her favorite cities around the world include Sydney, Cape Town and Paris. Most of all, however, she enjoys exploring Columbus with her daughter, Adelyn & golden retriever, Boone.
Gabe joined Bluestone in 2020. As a Financial Planner, Gabe is working to build his own financial planning practice. He also helps Ric and Adam prepare for client meetings to ensure a diligent, customized approach that adheres to client objectives and goals.
Gabe began his career in the financial services industry in 2017 working at PNC Bank in Chicago, IL. As a relationship manager, Gabe worked with business owners to improve their operational efficiencies by helping clients achieve their growth goals, attain access to working capital and manage their risk exposure by providing guidance as a professional advisor. In addition, during his time in Chicago Gabe was an active member on the American Heart Association Junior Board and the Lurie’s Children’s Hospital Junior Council.
Gabe holds his Series 7, Series 63, Ohio Life & Health licenses and graduated from Miami University’s Farmer School of Business with a degree in Finance. Gabe resides in Italian Village and enjoys playing golf, spending time with family and friends and cheering for Ohio State athletics. Gabe is also pursuing his CFP® certification and is an active member on Columbus Young Professionals and the American Heart Association Junior Board.

Janet has over 33 years of experience with Bluestone Wealth Partners, joining Ric’s practice in 1993. As Service Specialist, she is responsible for all aspects of client services and information management. Janet holds her FINRA Series 7 license. She and her husband, Scott, who have three adult sons, are life-long Columbus area residents and currently reside in Galena.
Shawna has over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry and joined Bluestone Wealth Partners in 2012. Her responsibilities include financial plan preparation and new account implementation. Shawna holds her FINRA Series 6 and state of Ohio health and annuity licenses. She and her husband, Mike, live in Powell with their two children, Michael and Lexie.
Drew joined Bluestone Wealth Partners in March 2020.
Drew works closely with Ric and Adam, analyzing investment data and producing reports for client meetings. These reports integrate the team’s macroeconomic outlook and adjustments made to the portfolio models to align with each client’s overall level of investment risk. Additionally, Drew is responsible for ensuring timely execution of trades and maintaining our Bluestone 360 website.
Drew began his career in the financial services industry in 2009 working at Nationwide Financial. From 2009-2015, he worked as an internal wholesaler for life insurance and annuities. Since 2015, Drew was a Regional Wholesaler for Nationwide Mutual Funds where he partnered with independent and wirehouse financial advisors. In this role, he forged partnerships with advisors by conducting in-person office meetings, participated as a fund partner for client events and leveraged technology using virtual meetings. As a part of Drew’s value proposition, he helped his advisors identify areas to improve their equity or fixed income holdings and earned their trust by applying his custom analysis into their practice.
Drew holds his Series 7 and Ohio Life & Health Licenses. He received his B.B.A. in Business Administration at Piedmont College in 2008.
Drew resides in Gahanna with his wife, Hilary. He enjoys playing golf, fishing, traveling and attends First Community Church in Grandview.
Brooke has over 4 years of experience in the financial services industry and joined Bluestone Wealth Partners in 2020. Her responsibilities include all aspects of client services and information management. Brooke holds her FINRA Series 6. She and her husband, Caleb, live in Columbus with their dog, Mac.
